Byrd Cara Cara 2 Lightweight Plain Edge Knife
Those who love a good knife without a lot of heft will appreciate the Cara Cara 2 lightweight knife. This knife from the popular Byrd line produced by Spyderco, weighs only 3.9 ounces. It features the same comet shaped cutout used to lighten the weight, as well as a few other tricks intended to cut down on the overall weight of the knife.
This knife features a full flat ground plain edge blade for excellent cutting performance. The handle is a bidirectional textured FNR material designed to increase control and provide improved grip. Phosphor bronze pivot washers open and close the blade in one smooth motion. Jimping on the thumb curve, top of the handle, and spine of the blade provide improved grip and control of the knife when needed. A David Boye cutaway on the mid-position back lock of the knife keeps the folded blade from accidentally opening when held in the hand.
Also included is a four position knife clip that allows you to carry the knife in your left or right pocket, with the knife tip up or down. The knife also features a lanyard hole to string it for easy carry around your neck or to use the lanyard to secure the knife to your wrist when working.
